IGP sympathises with Adamawa govt; promises to settle hosp. bills of bomb victims

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase has sympathised with the government and people of Adamawa State over the Thursday bomb explosion that killed four Police officers in Jimeta Division of the Nigerian police in Yola.

Mr Arase, who paid the visit through his DIG Operations, Mr S. L. Wakama expressed shock over the ugly incident, saying:

“We received the news with shock; we are pained that we lost some of our officers to the explosion but we are working hard to ensure that we do not have a reoccurrence of such incident anywhere in the country”.

“Our sincere condolences to the families of our officers, we will shoulder all their Medical bills and ensure that they are properly taking care of to full health status,” he said.

The IGP representative, who came in company of the state Government delegation, assured the people of the state that the police is ever ready to protect lives and properties in the state.

“We will continue to play our constitutional roles of protecting lives and properties in Nigeria”.

Wakama also visited those that sustained injuries during the explosion at the Specialist Hospital; he promised that the police will take care of their bills and ensure they get back to their health soon.

He confirmed the exploded bomb was those recovered and that investigation is on to ascertain the cause of the explosion.
