President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to building a nation that serves the interests of all Nigerians, regardless of their background or status.
Speaking at the Second Plenary Meeting of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Tinubu, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, emphasized the need for unity, shared responsibility, and collective progress.
Tinubu highlighted his administration’s efforts to renew hope, strengthen democratic institutions, and build a Nigeria that works for all, citing bold steps taken to stabilize the economy, attract investment, and implement reforms for enduring benefits.
He urged the Church to continue supporting the government, assuring that the Tinubu administration would prioritize social investment programs to leave no one behind.
Meanwhile, Senate President Godswill Akpabio encouraged Nigerians to be patient with the administration’s reforms, assuring them that the fruits of economic prosperity would soon be evident.
He stressed the importance of collective effort in building a brighter future for Nigeria.
Governor Pastor Umo Eno highlighted the Catholic Church’s role in promoting justice and democratic governance, while also showcasing his administration’s efforts to lift people out of poverty and improve living conditions through various intervention programs.
The conference brought together Catholic Bishops, the Apostolic Nuncio, politicians, and worshippers from across the country, fostering a spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to Nigeria’s progress.
