I’m Igbo by blood — Davido tells fellow Yoruba man that asked him to stop mingling with Igbos

The social media space in Nigeria is currently on frenzy following an exchange between Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke and an X user.

Davido recently took to his official X handle to reply fellow Yoruba man who advised him to stop surrounding himself with Igbos.

The X user simply identified as @Yakbel, via his page said that Davido who is from Osun State is frolicking too much with people from the South East, describing them as betrayals the singer needs to cut off ties with them.

According to the X user, Davido as a Yoruba man need not to have too much friends from the Igbo tribe, adding that Igbo people can never be satisfied.

This is coming after Davido flies veteran highlife maestro, Chief Bright Chimezie to Lagos and by extension hosted him to a lavish dinner and even introduced him Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The Yoruba man tweeted: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest, Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them, you can never satisfy Ibos ooo, IBOs are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”

Davido has a lot of Igbo people around him including, his wife Chioma, Cubana Chief Priest, Ubi Franklin, Asa Asika, Peruzzi among others.

But while reacting to the tweet from the Yoruba man, Davido told him point blank that he has Igbo blood running in him.

“lol I AM IGBO by blood”, Davido said.
