Israeli airstrike kills senior Hezbollah commander in Beirut

The ongoing face-off between Israel and Hezbollah got really bad when Hezbollah’s commander in charge of its rocket and missile forces, Ibrahim Qubaisi was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut.
Six other individuals were also killed during the brutal strike.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed Qubaisi’s death on Tuesday evening, identifying him as a key figure in Hezbollah’s missile strategy for decades.
However, the attack appears to be a major blow to Hezbollah, a group backed by Iran, as it continues to face unprecedented losses from Israeli military operations.
This marks the second consecutive day of Israeli airstrikes on the Lebanese capital, intensifying concerns about a wider conflict.
According to local sources, a five-story building in the area was heavily damaged, with the health ministry reporting six deaths and 15 injuries.
The Israeli military has been responding to Hezbollah’s recent rocket attacks on Northern Israel, which were launched in support of Hamas amid ongoing war in Gaza.
Herzi Halevi, Israel’s military chief, stated that operations against Hezbollah would be ramped up, stressing the need for “continued, intense action in all arenas.”
Meanwhile, Lebanese authorities have reported over 500 fatalities from Israeli airstrikes on Monday alone, raising fears that the conflict could further destabilize the region.
As tensions escalate, thousands of civilians in both Lebanon and Israel are fleeing their homes, bracing for the possibility of a broader war between the two sides.
