‘It was packaged’ — 2Face speaks on Trump’s assassination attempt

Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, aka 2face has reacted to the recent assassination attempt on former United States President, Mr Donald Trump.

NewsBand reported that Trump escaped with a bullet wound to his ear in the attack, which happened on Saturday evening as he was giving a speech to supporters in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The Republican presidential hopeful had begun his speech shortly after 6pm in front of his supporters under intense sunshine when a 20 year old gunman opened fire on him.

It was his last rally before the start of the Republican convention, which kicks off on July 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The FBI named Thomas Matthew Crooks as the attacker in the assassination attempt.

The 20-year-old was a registered Republican, according to voter records cited by the AP news agency.

Secret Service said its operatives killed the suspected attacker; one spectator was killed and two others critically injured in the shooting.

Meanwhile, reacting to the attack, 2face expressed doubt about the genuineness of the assassination attempt.

In a post shared on his Instastories, the singer said he would be shocked if the whole thing wasn’t “packaged.”

“All black everything. Hollywood dey learn,” he wrote.
