Iyabo Ojo

A prominent Nigerian Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has spoken out about the harsh criticism and serious allegations she has faced for advocating justice for the late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

According to the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Iyabo in a recent interview on the ‘Glass House’ with AY, stated that she was accused of killing late Mohbad and using his death to seek fame at all cost.

Contrary to the claims, the veteran thespian affirmed her commitment to seeking justice for the deceased music star, driven solely by a passion for truth and accountability.

Ojo expressed dismay, saying, “I was shocked by allegations implying I was involved in Mohbad’s demise. I wasn’t around when he died, and we didn’t have a close relationship.”

” I met Mohbad at the One Africa Music Fest. During our brief time together, I found him to be a col individual, dealing with his own struggles and passionately pursuing his music.”

“The accusations against me are contradictory. If I were guilty, why would I advocate for transparency through an autopsy? The claims of payment or political ambition are simply untrue and baseless.”

“Some people said I used Mohbad’s case for self-promotion, but that’s far from the truth. My goal was, and remains, to advocate for justice on behalf of the late singer.”
