Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has once again become the subject of online conversations following renewed tension between her and controversial music executive, Naira Marley.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the actress subtly responded to swirling allegations by sharing a video from the premiere of her new movie held in Canada, while critics accused her of hiding in Lagos.

The latest online drama stems from claims made by social media activist Verydarkman, who alleged that Iyabo Ojo created a WhatsApp group to orchestrate online attacks against Naira Marley.

According to Verydarkman, the actress accused the Marlian Records boss of sexually assaulting her daughter, Priscillia Ojo, a claim that reignited a long-standing conflict.

In the past, Iyabo Ojo had publicly condemned Naira Marley during the controversies surrounding the death of singer Mohbad, which saw both celebrities on opposing sides.

Verydarkman’s alleged WhatsApp evidence sparked fresh outrage and led some to believe that Iyabo Ojo was avoiding public appearances to escape backlash.

As online debates escalated, self-proclaimed investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo added fuel to the fire, alleging that Iyabo Ojo was hiding in an apartment in Banana Island, Lagos, to avoid a confrontation.

In what seemed like a carefully timed counter-move, Iyabo Ojo posted a video from her movie premiere in Canada, thanking her fans for their unwavering support.

The film, titled Labake Olododo the Warrior Lord, was screened at a Canadian cinema, where the actress revealed that the first showing was successful and the second was already in the works.

“Thank you Canada 🇨🇦, Labake Olododo the warrior Lord, 1st show successful 🙏🏾 2nd show loading…….. it can only be God,” she captioned her video.

The video, however, sparked skepticism online, as some followers doubted whether she was physically present at the event.

A comment by @cutie_jullss joked that Iyabo Ojo’s “AI image” attended the premiere in Canada while her real body remained hidden in Banana Island.

Other commenters joined in with mixed reactions, with some mocking Iyabo and others offering prayers of support.

User @ladyque_1 recalled her disbelief when Iyabo once said Ifeanyi was a girl dressed like a boy, suggesting she had stopped taking the actress seriously.

Another user, @officialrmojisola, described Kemi Olunloyo and another controversial figure, Lizzy, as “birds of the same feather” determined to pull Iyabo down.

Meanwhile, supporters like @kanyinsola_toronto offered spiritual backing, saying “God will fight for you and put all your enemies to shame.”

Some commenters speculated that Iyabo Ojo and Verydarkman were secretly working for Naira Marley and Larry, citing their online connections.

@queenmaynation admitted to being misled by the video’s caption until she read the comments.

A user named @obayemify7 jokingly asked if Iyabo Ojo had somehow appeared in Canada and Lekki simultaneously, suggesting she might be “twice.”

The controversy shows no sign of slowing down, as public opinion remains deeply divided over the actress’s role in the ongoing dispute with Naira Marley.

While Iyabo Ojo’s supporters insist she’s the target of coordinated attacks, her critics believe she’s manipulating public sympathy to maintain relevance.

The situation underscores how Nigerian celebrity culture often blurs the line between personal conflict, social media drama, and publicity campaigns.

With the second showing of her film already teased, it remains to be seen whether Iyabo Ojo will offer a direct response to the latest wave of allegations.
