The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has finally release 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results that was earlier withheld for further scrutiny.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the board’s spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
Mr. Benjamin said the newly released results were part of the board’s continuing review of suspected examination malpractice cases and were added to those earlier released to candidates.
He explained that investigations led to the cancellation of some results where candidates were found to have engaged in malpractice, while others were cleared after no evidence was established against them.
According to him, results linked to examination centres identified by JAMB’s monitoring team for suspicious activities, as well as centres associated with negative reports, would continue to remain under review until investigations are completed.
He added that candidates eventually found guilty during the process would have their results cancelled.
The board also urged candidates who are yet to see their results to verify their status by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 with the same phone number used during registration.
