Champion Breweries Plc, based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, has announced vacancies for the role of ‘Company Security Managers’.

COMPANY SECURITY MANAGER

The Company Security Manager (CSM) will be responsible for managing security risks and ensuring the safety
of employees, facilities, and operations across the company’s six sales districts, which span across nine states
in the South-South and South-East regions.

The role includes developing and implementing comprehensive
security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the Company, People, Assets, and Reputation.

Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing security protocols and procedures specific to the brewery environment,
such as access control, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and inventory control.
• Managing security staff or coordinating with external security providers to ensure round-the-clock
surveillance and response to security incidents.
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate risks related to theft, vandalism,
workplace safety, and product tampering.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to integrate security measures
into overall business processes.
• Investigating security incidents, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions to prevent
recurrence.
Staying updated on security technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance the security
posture of the company.
Developing and implementing security policies and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to identify security gaps and develop appropriate
mitigation measures.
• Coordinating with internal departments to integrate security considerations into business processes, such
as supply chain management, IT systems, and employee safety.
• Managing security budgets, contracts with security vendors, and relationships with law enforcement
agencies or security consultants.
Overseeing crisis management and business continuity planning to address potential security threats or
emergencies.
• Conducting investigations into security incidents, coordinating with legal authorities when necessary, and
implementing corrective actions.
• Staying informed about emerging security threats and technologies to continuously improve the
organization’s security posture.
• Assessing and mitigating security risks associated with the country’s political, social, and economic
environment.
Developing and implementing security plans, policies, and procedures that align with local laws and
regulations.
Coordinating with local security providers, law enforcement agencies, and government authorities to
address security concerns.
Conducting security audits and assessments of company facilities and operations within the brewery and
sales districts.
Providing guidance and support to local teams on security-related matters, including travel security, crisis
management, and incident response.
• Monitoring security-related events and trends in the country and providing timely updates and
recommendations to the Managing Director and the Leadership Team.

• Managing security-related relationships with external stakeholders, such as community leaders, local
authorities, and industry associations.
Reporting Line
The Company Security Manager (CSM) will report to the MD/CEO
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in criminology. Sociology, Psychology, or any other field.
• Membership of Professionally recognized institutions and/lor retired security personnel is an added
advantage
8-14 years of experience in a similar capacity preferably in an FMCG.
Required Skills & Competencies
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities.
Experienced in managing and gathering security intelligence, reporting, and execution
Strong interface with government security agencies
Experienced in the industry relevant to the organization (e.g., manufacturing, finance, tech).
Familiar with project management tools and techniques.
Strong leadership skills
Business management skills
Planning and analytical skills
Presentation skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Influencing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels.
Ability to use SAP ERP.
