Journalists were on Sunday barred from the meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the 82 released Chibok girls at the presidential villa, Abuja.
It was gathered that the Chibok girls met the president behind closed doors where no cameras, journalists or pictures were allowed.
After the meeting, a reception was organised in honour of the rescued girls in Abuja after their release on Saturday.
Speaking during the reception, President Buhari described the rescue of 82 Chibok schoolgirls as a pleasant second anniversary gift of his administration to Nigerians.
He expressed delight over the release of the girls and reassured Nigerians, especially relatives and friends of the determination of his administration to secure freedom for the remaining 113 girls and other Nigerians still under the insurgents captivity.
He said: “I cannot express in a few words how happy I am to welcome our dear girls back to freedom.
“On behalf of all Nigerians, I will like to share my joy with you, your parents, your relatives, friends and the Government of Borno State on regaining your freedom.
“The Federal Government will like to commend the Security Agencies, the Red Cross, local authorities, local and foreign NGOs and all those who contributed in one way or another to secure the release of our Chibok Girls.
“Let me reassure Nigerians, especially relatives and friends of the remaining girls that the Federal Government will spare no effort to see that they and all other Nigerians who have been abducted safely regain their freedom.’’

Reacting to the development, Chief Femi Fani Kayode though it was a huge joke.
Taking to this Twitter handle, he said: “Journalists and cameras were NOT allowed into the Villa today.
“The Chibok girls ALLEGEDLY saw the President behind closed doors. No cameras. No journalists. No pictures. No evidence of the meeting.
“He is now being flown to London for further medical treatment for “a period of time to be determined by his doctors”.
“The whole thing is like a bad film script. It stinks”
Later on after the meeting, he tweeted again: “Glad that there are pictures of the Presidents meeting with the Chibok girls out now.
“The whole thing STILL stinks though. Let us hope he will come back home from London hale and hearty though somehow I doubt he will.
Poor Buhari. I think that VP Osinbajo may be Acting President for quite some time and within the year he may well be sworn in as substantive President.”
President Buhari is currently airborne en route to London for another bout of health vacation.
