JUST IN: Bandits Kidnap ex-NYSC DG in Katsina

Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits in Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

News Band gathered that the attack occurred around 12:30am on Thursday when heavily armed men invaded the community, firing sporadically to create panic among residents.

Tsiga was kidnapped alongside several other villagers, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.

The attackers reportedly escaped with the victims into the surrounding forests.

Katsina State police command is yet to issue a statement in respect to the development.

Meanwhile, this abduction underscores the escalating security challenges in Katsina State, which has seen a disturbing rise in banditry and kidnappings
