The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned Abubakar Malami, former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, for questioning.
Malami, who served under President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015 to 2023, confirmed the invitation in a statement posted on his official Facebook.
The former Attorney said he’ll cooperate fully with the anti-graft agency.
“I’ve been summoned by the EFCC to clarify some matters, and as a law-abiding citizen, I’ll honour the invitation without hesitation,” he wrote.
Malami emphasized his commitment to honesty, integrity, and accountability in governance, assuring Nigerians of updates as developments unfold.
The anti-graft agency hasn’t disclosed the specific issues under investigation.
