The Independent National Electoral Commission has resumed uploading results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV.

The development comes after a delay of more than three hours, during which the portal reportedly remained unchanged.

Checks showed that fresh polling unit results began appearing shortly after 11:45pm on Saturday, after uploads had stopped around 8:48pm.

As of the latest update, 3,557 of the 3,763 expected polling unit results had been uploaded, representing 94.53 per cent of the total.

The new uploads followed the conclusion of voting and counting at several polling units, while collation continued across Osun State’s 30 local government areas.

IReV allows voters, political parties, candidates, observers and other stakeholders to view scanned copies of polling-unit result sheets uploaded by INEC.

The final outcome of the election will be determined through INEC’s official collation and declaration process.
