JUST IN: Macron to Present ‘Scientific Proof’ in US Court that His Wife Is Female

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, are preparing to present “scientific evidence” in a US court to prove she is a woman.

According BBC, their lawyer confirmed that the couple is determined to confront allegations made by US right-wing influencer Candace Owens.

The legal dispute stems from repeated claims by Owens that Brigitte Macron was born male. The Macrons filed a defamation lawsuit in Delaware in July 2025, arguing Owens knowingly spread false information.

The case has already attracted international attention, as it blends issues of free speech, conspiracy theories, and the reputations of world leaders.

‘Deeply Upsetting’ Allegations

Speaking to the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast, lawyer Tom Clare said Brigitte Macron found the allegations “incredibly upsetting.”

He stressed that the accusations were not only personal but also a distraction for the French president.

Clare explained that the Macrons were ready to produce expert testimony and evidence, including photographs of Brigitte pregnant and raising her children.

According to Clare, the evidence will be presented under strict court rules.

“It is incredibly upsetting to think that you have to put this type of proof forward,” he said.

“But she is 100% ready to meet that burden to set the record straight.”

Owens Defends Free Speech

Owens, who has millions of followers online, has doubled down on her claims. In 2024, she even said she would stake her “entire professional reputation” on them.

Her lawyers have asked the court to dismiss the case, arguing Delaware is the wrong jurisdiction and that defending the lawsuit there would cause “substantial financial and operational hardship.”

Owens has also defended her stance as an exercise of free speech.

She has repeatedly argued that Americans should be able to criticize public figures without facing lawsuits.

A Long-Running Rumor

Rumors about Brigitte Macron’s gender first surfaced in fringe online spaces in 2021.

Two French bloggers, Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey, spread the claims through a YouTube video.

The Macrons initially won a defamation case against them in 2024, but an appeals court overturned the ruling in 2025, citing freedom of expression.

For Emmanuel Macron, the latest lawsuit is about protecting his family and honor. In an interview with Paris Match, he said:

“This is someone who knew full well she had false information and did so with the aim of causing harm.”

As the case proceeds, the Macrons are expected to present documentation, photographs, and scientific testimony to prove the allegations false.

The outcome could set a high-profile precedent for how far online influencers can go when spreading unverified claims about world leaders.
