Ahead of the 2027 general elections, political permutations have continued to change as the immediate past Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has clinched the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after dumping the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He emerged through a voice affirmation by members of the party during a primary election held on Tuesday in Gombe.
Pantami was declared as winner of the primary election, as the sole aspirant by Hon. Gregory Yenlong, the Chairman of the PDP Electoral Panel.
While speaking after he was declared as winner of the primary election, the former Minister said he contested for the seat to offer service to people of the state.
He pledged to govern with fairness and justice to people of the state.
