Kevin Hart Seeks $50,000 From Former Assistant Over Alleged NDA Breach

American comedian and actor Kevin Darnell Hart, widely known as Kevin Hart, is reportedly asking a court to compel his former assistant, Miesha Shakes, to pay $50,000 for allegedly violating a confidentiality agreement.

According to court documents, Hart claims Shakes breached a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) she signed during her employment between 2017 and 2020. He alleges that she later disclosed private details about his personal life during an interview with controversial blogger Tasha K.

Hart further claimed that prior to the interview’s release, there was an alleged attempt to prevent its publication in exchange for $250,000. He says he declined the demand, reported the situation to the authorities, and issued a cease-and-desist letter. Despite these efforts, the interview was eventually published online.

In response, Shakes has reportedly argued that the NDA is not enforceable, claiming that certain conditions tied to the agreement were not fulfilled by Hart. However, Hart’s legal team has disputed this position and is pushing for the agreement to be upheld in court.

In a declaration submitted as part of the case, Hart emphasized the importance of his public image, stating that his career and business ventures depend heavily on his reputation. He noted that his involvement in family-oriented projects and partnerships with major brands makes public perception particularly critical.

Hart is now seeking enforcement of the NDA, including a $50,000 penalty, which he says was the agreed consequence for any breach of the confidentiality terms.

The case continues to draw attention as it highlights the legal and reputational stakes surrounding non-disclosure agreements in the entertainment industry.
