Kidnap: Nasarawa police rescue 2 abducted Chinese expatriates

The Nasarawa State Police command, has rescued two Chinese kidnapped and also recovered five stolen cars including other items, amidst other arrested

The Nasarawa State Police command, has rescued two Chinese kidnapped and also recovered five stolen cars. 

These include other items amidst other arrested criminal gangs. 

The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa command Mr. Sadiq Bello while parading the alleged criminals.

He said 38 persons were arrested for various crimes in the state since the past two weeks. 

The two Chinese  Mr. Jeng Ai-Jung and Mr. Wen So Ping, were rescued following pressure mounted on the kidnappers, by the combined effort of police and other security operatives, at about 6pm on 5th August.

The police also paraded two notorious car thieves, Mr. Babayo Abdulkadir and Sani Yakubu, who confessed that they specialize in stealing cars in Lafia. 

Five cars was recovered from them, in their residence in Jos. 

Other persons arrested include 419 syndicates who swindled about N8.2 million from high profile politicians and traditional rulers in the state. 

All the suspected criminals confessed, that they actually committed the crime.

Items recovered include seven assorted vehicles, one motorcycle, two AK riffles and one locally made pistol.

The Commissioner of Police, warned criminals to stay away from the state, even as he vowed to fish out criminals who may dare the command. 

He urged members of the public to cooperate with the police by informing and reporting any suspected criminal in the state. 

Gangs of criminals who were arrested at different Commands were paraded at the headquarters in Lafia.
