KokoPee Challenges Call for Prayer, Questions Government Accountability

Content creator KokoPee has sparked debate online after responding to the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), over his recent call for Nigerians to remain prayerful amid ongoing national challenges.

In a candid statement, KokoPee expressed frustration with what he described as an overreliance on prayer while elected officials are tasked with addressing the country’s pressing issues.

“While growing up, when it’s time to pray for Nigeria, I was always at the forefront praying. But I later realized I was f∅øling myself. As long as you tell me to pray while there is somebody elected and being paid to do the job, prayer alone is not enough,” he said.

He further questioned the logic behind urging citizens to depend solely on prayer despite the existence of public office holders responsible for governance.

“How can you tell Nigerians to pray when someone is being paid to do the job?” he added.

His remarks have since generated mixed reactions, with some Nigerians agreeing that leadership should be held more accountable, while others maintain that prayer and governance can go hand in hand.

The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between faith-based responses and demands for practical, policy-driven solutions to the country’s security and economic challenges.
