In a significant effort to enhance residents’ lives, the Lagos State Government has distributed 300 cheques through the Sanwo-Olu Listen Financial Assistance Programme.
This initiative actively supports those in need, showcasing the government’s unwavering commitment to its citizens.
Recently, at an event held at The Secretariat in Alausa, Dr. Afolabi Tajudeen, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative, and Civic Engagement, emphasized the Governor’s dedication.
He highlighted that this gesture serves as a reminder of the government’s ongoing efforts to bring smiles to Lagosians’ faces while promoting inclusive governance.

The government mandates that all applications include supporting documents from credible hospitals to provide effective assistance.
To obtain financial aid, the Special Adviser explained that applicants must submit a request letter detailing their needs.
Furthermore, this letter should specify the desired amount of funding required to address those needs effectively, which is crucial for receiving support.
Moreover, he specified that the application must include a photocopy of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) card.
Additional requirements include a National Identity Number (NIN), a passport photo, and contact information for follow-up after the selection process.
Dr. Afolabi expressed gratitude to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for their continuous support.
He encouraged Lagos residents to participate in this initiative, emphasizing the importance of community involvement for everyone’s benefit.
Furthermore, the administration aims to assist those in need, creating a supportive environment for all citizens.
