LASEPA: Lagos shuts down Lord’s Chosen Church, hotel, restaurants over noise pollution

The Lagos State government, through the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), has taken action against noise pollution by sealing multiple establishments, including the Lord’s Chosen church.
As gathered by the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), the General Manager of LASEPA, Dr. Tunde Ajayi, announced the agency’s intensified enforcement operations in a statement released on Monday.
According to report, these establishments, which also include hotels and restaurant were sealed as a result of report for excessive noise levels.
Ajayi emphasized that the agency is targeting numerous locations throughout Lagos to tackle the persistent problem of noise pollution.
He said the crackdown aimed to mitigate the harmful effects of noise on the community and uphold the environmental standards set for the state.
Celestial Church, The Lord’s Chosen Church, Zodiac Lounge, and Pixel Park Studio are among the establishments shut down by LASEPA.
In addition, LASEPA sealed other businesses, including Sneakers Suites & Bar, Wimpy Hotel, SBL Hotels, Handsworth Hotel, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Church, West Syde Exclusive Hotel & Suites, and Kobis Restaurant.
Ajayi reiterated the agency’s dedication to maintaining a healthy environment for all Lagos residents.
He stated, “Noise pollution and other environmental violations disrupt the peace and health of our communities.”
The agency encourages all establishments to adhere to environmental regulations to avoid penalties.
