LPDC suspends Barr. Marcel Udebuani for 5 years over corruption

The Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) has suspended controversial lawyer, Barr. Marcel Udebuani, popularly known as Agams, for 5 years over corruption.
LPDC held that Agams, who hails from Umudim—Nnewi, used his legal practice illegally.
The legal practitioner was found guilty of professional misconduct and “a gross betrayal of the noble legal profession”.
LPDC also ordered Agams to render full account of his client’s funds received since 2019 within 30 days of the ruling.
Udebuani has severally been accused of corruption, sharp practices, and breach of client’s trust.
Legal pundits across the Southeast, including his hometown—Nnewi, lauded the decision as a clear message that the legal profession is not a safe haven for crooks cloaked in garments of criminality.
More details of the travails of Udebuani will follow…
