*Okorocha Devastated!*

The Imo State capital, Owerri, on Friday, practically ground to a halt as the mother of all pro-Biafra protests seared through the city.

What started yesterday as a protest by IPOB  numbering in their hundreds & what was thought by many to be a flop when compared to similar rallies like that of Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Aba etc has culminated into something else, a mammoth crowd, something like a one million man match has besieged Owerri as early as 8am this morning.

People streamed unto the streets from all nooks and corners.

They trouped past Douglas road & temporarily camped at Ama-Awusa with a heavy detachment of army & policemen following behind & at the same time blocking some access roads.

As at the time of writhing, all markets including Eke Onuwa, new market, Rotibi as well as banks, shops & business premises remain under lock & key.

There is a heavy traffic gridlock & people were discussing in groups with their topic centering mainly on their demand for Biafra, release of Nnamdi Kanu & condemnation of the governor who they were calling different names like Northerner & Okoroawusa.

Feelers from the Imo state government house indicate that Gov. Okorocha is devastated at this development as he had vowed never to allow any form of Biafra protest in Owerri or any part of the state.
