Mao Ohuabunwa is suffering from frying pan sharing syndrome — Group

A group, Abia North Peace Foundation, has said that Mao Ohuabunwa, a former Senator representing Abia North senatorial district is still regretting his decision to empower his constituents with frying pans when he represented them at the National Assembly.

The group in a statement signed by Chief Nnanna Ukaegbu on Saturday evening, said Ohuabunwa has nothing to offer the people of the zone having failed to achieve anything at the green chamber for eight years and at the senate for four years.

The group while reacting to a statement credited to Ohuabunwa during the inauguration of his campaign council accused him of playing politics with insecurity, noting that the people of Abia North senatorial district would reject him “over and over again”.

“Senator Ohuabunwa is obviously regretting his decision to empower people with frying pan. It is crystal clear that he is suffering from frying pan sharing syndrome, and we cannot help him now to get over it. The only remedy for that syndrome is for him to withdraw from the race and apologise to the people of Abia North senatorial district for not attracting any project to the zone.

“Those around him should be able and bold enough enough to tell him the truth that he is retired for good. Mao Ohuabunwa should ask questions why he was rejected by the stakeholders of his party for the position of the national secretary of his party. He is not liked by anyone including those in his party. How can any sensible person support a man who has nothing to campaign with? What is he bringing to the table? Playing politics with insecurity is not enough to reinforce failure.

“We have gone past the era of propaganda and Papa Deceive Pikin, Pikin Deceive Papa kind of politics. Let Mao Ohuabunwa move round Abia North and show the people what he did when he was there. We want to see his achievements and see if we can reduce the level of disgrace he would get at the poll,” the group stated.
