Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu, lambasted a faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo over the unwarranted, insensitive and inconsequential calls to Federal government to declare state of emergency in Southeast.
In a statement signed by its National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel, MASSOB viewed this as an act of wickedness and sabotage against Ndigbo.
Comrade Samuel said that Ahmed Bola Tinubu led illegal administration will never heed to such calls because it came from irrelevant and unacceptable people in Igbo land.
He declared that any attempt or maneuvering to effect state of emergency in southeast region will be squarely resisted with every formular and methodology.
MASSOB also condemned the assertion from Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the secretary of factional Ohaneze Ndigbo that the alleged silence of Mr. Peter Obi on the activities of unknown gunmen in southeast signify conspiracy, creating an erroneous impression that Peter Obi has sympathy for the armed men.
MASSOB insist that releasing of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from his illegal detention will restore peaceful atmosphere in southeast region.
