Goal by Lionel Messi against Valencia sees him reach yet another of the many milestones he has racked up in his spectacular career.

He has scored a whopping 450 goals for Barcelona FC.

To the 450 goals scored for Barça, Messi has also scored 50 goals with the national side of Argentina.

This brings his total goals to a round 500 thanks to his strike against Valencia.

Game after game, the best player in the world continues to demonstrate his greatness.

With his strike against Valencia on Sunday, Lionel Messi has now reached the 450-goals mark for FC Barcelona.

The Barça number 10 never tires of breaking records and, despite being injured two months earlier this season, has returned to the form that has long defined him.

Since the beginning of 2016, Messi has scored 26 goals in 27 matches across all competitions and has reached this new milestone after playing 525 club games, 0.86 goals per game average

The Argentinian has distributed these 450 goals among all competitions in which he has played.

Messi has scored 309 goals in La Liga, 39 in the Copa del Rey, 83 in the Champions League, 11 in the Spanish Super Cup, 3 in the UEFA Super Cup, and 5 in the FIFA Club World Cup.

He is the only player to ever score in all competitions in two different seasons.

Messi’s goals include jaw-dropping plays such as the one against Getafe at Camp Nou.

It includes two goals in the semi-finals of the Champions League against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, and in that year’s final at Wembley, among many others.

In all, the 450 goals have helped pave the way to 26 titles, making Messi, along with Iniesta, the player with the most team titles in FC Barcelona history.

Best of all, he is only 28 years of age. Nobody doubts that Messi’s goal scoring numbers will continue to grow.
