Musa Backs Paseiro On Worries Over Heat Ahead Clash With Ivorians

Super Eagles’s captain, Ahmed Musa, has backed his coach, Jose Paseiro over worries ahead of Thursday’s fixture against Cote d’Ivoire in Abidjan in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON.

In video interview obtained by DDM, the player said that it is uncomfortable playing in the heat.

“As a fan watching the game at the stadium you sweat. what about me doing all the running. but we can’t say that because it is our job.

 

 

“What I can say to our fans is that we will give the our best,” he said.

Paseiro earlier on Tuesday at the Pullman Hotel, Rue Abdoulaye Fadiga, Abidjan, where the team had a press conference, said that he particular does not like playing in the afternoon.

Captain Musa admitted the team is under pressure.

“We are all under pressure to win.

“The players are under pressure to win and for us, we want to win, So best of luck to us,” he said.

Super Eagles drew that first match with Equatorial Guinea by 1-1. Cote d’Ivoire won theirs by two emphatic goals against Guinea Bissau.
