The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) recently paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty Akpomeyoma Majoroh, the Ojeta II of the Oruarivie-Abraka Kingdom.

This visit occurred before the commissioning and flag-off of NDDC road projects in Abraka, located in the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, southern Nigeria.

During the visit, the Ojeta II commended the Commission for its commitment to regional development. He emphasized the strategic importance of the road project, stating, “As a serious agricultural area, most of our people are farmers. This road has facilitated the easy movement of people and agricultural products, fostering thriving commercial activities. It is important to us, and we are very grateful for it.”

He also noted that the road serves as a regional link, connecting Abraka to Benin, and expressed gratitude for linking the community to their ancestral home.

Furthermore, he requested that the reconstruction of the Abraka-Agbor road, which is set to be flagged off, be completed promptly.

The delegation included the Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh; NDDC Board Chairman, Mr. Chiedu Ebie; NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku; Executive Director of Projects, Sir Victor Antai; along with other members of the Board and Management Team.
