The Advocate for Peoples Right and Justice, a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO), has decried the high rate of insecurity and breakdown of law and order in the country.

Mr. Victor Giwa, its National Coordinator, made this known in a statement he issued to newsmen on Monday in Abuja.

Giwa stated that the issue of insecurity and break down of law and order had turned into state of hopelessness and helplessness in the society.

According to him, it has become more threatening that the brazen attack has now shifted to our security institutions and agencies.

“These security institutions and agencies are responsible for the protection of lives and property; attacking them dampens the hope and assurance of the citizens for succour,” he said.

He said the activity of bandits, kidnappers and criminal gangs had made living unbearable for the citizens and believed that the security operatives were being demoralised and devastated by the growing attack on its personnel.

“The fact that the compatriots are now under serious attack in various states of the federation calls for concern and support,” he said.
