The governor of Imo State and national coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms at the APC South-West stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos, saying they’re starting to bear fruit despite the current hardships.
He likened Nigeria to “a barren woman” before Tinubu took office, adding that the president has introduced “fertility drugs” to spur growth—acknowledging the painful transition.
“Nigeria was like a barren woman looking for a child before President Bola Tinubu came,” Uzodimma said.
“He introduced the fertility drugs needed. Yes, they came with pains, but we are seeing results. We are not after excuses. We are interested in results.”
Uzodimma thanked Nigerians for their resilience amid the reforms and emphasized the APC governors’ unity in tackling insecurity.
He questioned who funds criminal groups amid rising kidnappings and attacks, asserting Nigeria will defeat insurgents with political will.
As Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ coordinator, he outlined a plan to boost local businesses: 1,000 active businesses per ward, leveraging increased Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursements to states.
The ambassadors will operate at zonal, state, local, and ward levels, aligning with Tinubu’s Ward Development Programme.
