Nigerian club Kano Pillars signs new players from Sweden, Bahrain, others

Nigeria Professional Football League club, Kano Pillars, has announced the signing of 12 new players ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The new recruits include goalkeepers Chukwuemeka Oniya from Rangers International and Abuchi Okeke from Sokoto United, as well as defenders Mustapha Jibrin from Niger Tornadoes and Ugochwukwu Gabriel from Wikki Tourists FC.

Midfielder Bright Emmanuel joins from Solution FC, while forwards Zulkifilu Muhammed from Rangers International and Sudais Ali Baba from FC Trollhättan in Sweden are also among the new signings.

The team has also signed Alhassan Rashid from Karela United in Ghana, Nelso Abiam from Doma United, Charles Tambe from Remo Stars, Akpesiri Naibe from Sporting Lagos, and Emmanuel Anaful from Karela FC in Ghana.

These new players will join the 20 retained players from the previous season, boosting the team’s chances in the upcoming league.

Kano Pillars FC Chairman, Alhaji Surajo Jambul, expressed optimism about the new signings, saying, “We are confident that these players will bring fresh talent and energy to the team, and help us achieve our goals in the new season.”

The team is expected to begin training soon, under the guidance of Coach Ibrahim Musa.

With these new signings, Kano Pillars FC is poised to make a strong impact in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
