Nigerian Gospel Minister Toun Soetan Passes Away, Tributes Pour In

Nigerian gospel community is mourning the loss of renowned evangelist and gospel singer Toun Soetan, who has reportedly passed away.

Soetan was widely respected for her deep commitment to Christian ministry, passionate preaching, and her long-standing role in gospel music. Over the years, she became known for her strong evangelical outreach and dedication to spreading the Christian message through both music and preaching.

Throughout her ministry, Soetan organised revival meetings, prayer gatherings, and evangelistic programmes that attracted believers from various Christian denominations across Nigeria. Many followers regarded her as a spiritual mentor whose teachings inspired people to strengthen their faith and live according to Christian values.

Beyond her work as an evangelist, Soetan also made significant contributions to gospel music. Tributes have continued to pour in from members of the gospel music community and religious leaders who were influenced by her work. Among those who spoke about her legacy was Kunle Bakare, a former secretary of the Entertainment Writers Association of Nigeria in Oyo State. Bakare described Soetan as a dedicated minister whose music carried meaningful and carefully crafted gospel messages.

Her passing was also confirmed by gospel musician Peters Olaniyi Olusegun, who shared the news in a tribute on social media. In his message, he described Soetan as a legend in gospel music and expressed sorrow over her death.
