Senators Bala Na’Allah, Gbenga Ashafa and Foster Ogola contribute to the Clause by Clause consideration of the Railway Bill SB. 1.

Senators Mustapha Bukar, Chukwuka Utazi & Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi as well contribute to the Clause by Clause consideration of the Railway Bill.

Senators Kabiru Marafa, Usman Nafada, Dino Melaye and Senator Akpabio also make contributions to the Clauses of the Railway Bill.

The Committee of the Whole passes the 202 Clauses, as amended, Short Title and Long Title of the Railway Bill.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation Act 1955 (Repeal and ReEnactment) Railway Bill 2016 SB. 01 is hereby passed.

Senate President Bukola Saraki appreciates all Senators for the work on the Railway Bill ensuring its first amendment in over 50Years.

The Motion is on need to investigate pre-shipment Inspection of Export Activities in Nigeria.

The Motion is sponsored by Senator Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf and co-sponsored by 13 Other Senators. Senator Yusuf rises for the lead debate.

Senator Yusuf harps on the need to scrutinize the pre-shipment inspection of goods -both oil and non-oil in Nigeria.

Senate passes the prayers of the motion to mandate its relevant committees to investigate the pre-shipment inspection.
