The founder of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church, often known as SPAC Nation, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, has denied rumors that the UK government is planning to deport him.

Speaking to the audience at his church in the UK on Sunday, Adegboyega claimed that people disseminating the stories are only doing so to get attention.

The troubled pastor compared the people arguing over the claims to “dogs barking at each other”.

He claimed that they are not speaking to him or his congregation.

Earlier, he was unfazed by the deportation accusations.

“They are not talking to me or my church SPAC Nation”, he said.

“Nigerians are the last people to answer, they need rice, not answers”, the 44-year-old preacher continued.

He highlighted that he owes his critics no explanations.

“When the local dogs finish backing because they are busy backing at each other, they will still find us here, they will be escorted back to their pages. They are busy talking to themselves not me”, he added.

It was earlier reported that Adegboyega would be sent back to Nigeria after it was claimed that he had remained in the UK on a visa that had expired.

According to the court, the controversial pastor entered the UK in 2005 under a visitor’s visa, but he stayed after it expired, claiming human rights violations.

His spouse was a British national.

He appealed to the first-tier tribunal after the Home Office rejected his request, but they also rejected it.

He then appealed to the upper tribunal on August 15, 2022.

Through his attorney, Dele Olawanle, the pastor told the tribunal that his church had started a number of intervention programs to protect troubled youths from crime and gangs on the streets of the UK.

Adegboyega further contended that his deportation would damage his community influence and projects, which he said had been endorsed and acknowledged by notable UK figures, such as former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and senior members of the Metropolitan Police.

Additionally, he stated that he “intervened in the lives of many hundreds of young people, predominantly from the black communities in London, to lead them away from trouble”.

He stated that he had been influential in the establishment of a food bank that had supplied 136,000 meals for children.

Adegboyega continued by saying that he set up a network of safe houses in London where he housed young people who were attempting to stay out of gang fights.

Despite Adegboyega’s objections, the justices of the superior tribunal, Bruce and Rastogi, urged that he return to Nigeria.
