Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has publicly apologized to Nigerian music superstar Davido after he confronted her over a misleading social media post involving him, his wife Chioma, and a supposed restaurant launch.
According to Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), the controversy erupted after Sarah shared a post suggesting Davido had opened a restaurant and gifted someone food from it.
The post quickly gained attention, prompting Davido to directly message the actress in anger.
In the leaked message, Davido wrote:
“WTF is wrong with you? Delete that dumb ass sht.
“Which f**king restaurant did I open? I didn’t open any restaurant. Please delete it now.”
Stunned by the outburst, Sarah quickly took to Instagram to apologize publicly. She captioned her post with a brief message: “I’m sorry Davido.”
To further express her regret, she posted a video apology, calling Davido “my King, one and only 001.” In the video, she emotionally explained:
“If you know me very well, you can tell that I’m a diehard fan of Davido and Chioma.
“I would never intentionally disrespect either of them.
“I was misinformed by what Opeyemi posted about Davido gifting him food from his restaurant. I just jumped into conclusion.”
She continued, “I’m really sorry for getting on your nerves to the point that you had to enter my DM. I beg, please forgive me.”
Sarah didn’t stop there.
“I am your number one fan. Nobody loves you more than I love you. I swear on God. In fact, they nearly brought down my page because I was defending you online.”
She concluded her video with a final heartfelt plea:
“This is from a place of love. Please forgive me, OBO.”
The incident sparked debate online, with some praising her sincerity and others criticizing the original misinformation.
