Nsukka East Constituency Mourns With Chairman Asogwa Over Father’s Death

ENUGU – The people of Nsukka East Constituency have extended heartfelt condolences to the Executive Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, popularly known as the “People’s Mayor,” over the passing of his beloved father, Late Chief Ignatius Chukwuma Asogwa.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the condolence message was conveyed by Hon. Engr. Pius Onyekachi Ezugwu on behalf of the people of the constituency, expressing deep sympathy and solidarity with the Chairman during this difficult period.

In his message, Hon. Ezugwu described the late Chief Asogwa as a respected elder whose wisdom, humility, and commitment to community service left lasting footprints in Nsukka and beyond.

He noted that Chief Asogwa’s passing has created a great vacuum not only in his family but also in the wider Nsukka community, where he was known for his generosity and moral guidance.

“We share in your grief and stand with you in prayers during this moment of loss,” the message read.

“May the memories of your father bring you comfort and peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire love, humility, and service.”

The condolence note further wished the bereaved family peace, strength, and courage to face the days ahead, assuring the Chairman that the thoughts and prayers of Nsukka East people remain with him.

Community leaders, friends, and residents of Nsukka have also continued to send condolences, describing the late patriarch as a man of honour and dignity who raised children committed to leadership and public service.
