Nwanakwere bags Imo Youth Elites’ excellence award

A renowned business man and philanthropist, Chief Nnamdi Nwanakwere also known as Ome nwanne has bagged the prestigious Imo Youth Elites’ excellence award.

Imo Youth Elites is an apex youth body operating in South Eastern part of Nigeria and after thorough investigations, chose to honour Chief Nnamdi Nwanakwere with award for his excellent service to humanity.

The award was bestowed on him on the 19th of January 2025 at Owerri Imo state, by the members of Imo Youth Elites association.

Speaking after receiving the award, Chief Nwanakwere expressed his profound joy and appreciation to the leadership and members of the association for finding him worthy for the award.

He promised to give 100% support to the association especially in its empowerment and enlightenment programmes for the youths and the indigents..

Ome Nwanne who hails from Awo Idemili in Orsu LGA of Imo state but based in Holland said about four students are already enjoying his scholarship scheme adding that he’s still searching for more to empower especially best secondary students from poor families.

He said some nurses, carpenters, upholstery makers etc are undergoing training under the scheme stressing that he would do more for his people.

” I’m 100% in support of Imo Youth Elites association especially as it concerns youth empowerment as to eradicate crime from the society”, he enthused.

Chief Nwanakwere urged the youths to be patient and not lose hope adding that without patience one cannot get money.

” Money comes gradually through patience and hard work. Igbos are known with trade and commerce but now the youths are not showing seriousness. We want to take them back to old days to learn how to be patient, obedient and learn things.

“One cannot get anything by taking drugs rather it will kill the person . People who have been using drugs for a long time did not get anything from it.

“The youths should shun drugs as they’re is nothing good in it”, he stated.

The National President of the group, Comrade Emmanuel Okemili while presenting the award said Chief Nnamdi Nwanakwere has done very well in his service to humanity and deserves award.

Okemilii said the award is in recognition of his hallmark affection for mankind which manifested in selfless devotion and services to humanity and society at large.

Earlier in his speech, the Vice President of the association, Comrade Pst Austin Okoro said Imo Youth Elites is an apex youth body that domiciles in the South Eastern part of Nigeria and cut across all LGAs and wards.

Okoro noted that it started in 2005 and has assisted many youths in trade and commerce to stand on their own through its empowerment programmes.

“Many youths have been talked out of drugs, prostitution, cultism, armed robbery, etc through the association’s public enlightenment programmes “, he noted

Comrade Okoro said Nwanakwere Empowerment Foundation has empowered many youths, women and elderly to achieve their goals in life.

” During COVID-19 pandemic, Chief Nwanakwere assisted many people to survive the scourge of the virus.

“He also contributed to the growth of the church through donations and support.

“He is a man of integrity, character, excellence and hard working “, Okoro stated.
