Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lauds South East Governors For Decision To Take Up Nnamdi Kanu Issue
Call For Review Of The Apo Six Ruling And The Ezu River Incident
The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Barr Nnia Nwodo has saluted the South East Governors Forum for their decision to take up the case of the detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu .
Chief Nwodo stated this in reaction to the vexed issue and other burning issues affecting Ndigbo.
He congratulated the South East Governors for setting the Committee on joint economic development of the zone and hope it will give the desired rapid development of the zone a boost.
He also reiterated on his call for a quick review of the Apo Six ruling which convicted two police men who participated in the gruesome murder of the APO Six Igbo boys in 2005 but absolved the main culprits.
He noted that a team of experienced Igbo and Nigerian lawyers will soon be reached to take up the matter while calling on the Attorney General of the federation and National Judicial Council to review the case.
He also called for the revisitation of the Ezu River incident in Anambra state with a view to unveiling the killers and dumpers of more than fifty young men at the Ezu River some years ago.
