According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, as the London club looks to secure his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The London side are in search of a clinical striker and are keen to sign Osimhen to bolster their attacking prowess.

Galetti, via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, disclosed that Chelsea are prepared to activate Osimhen’s release clause once the 2023/24 season ends.

His release clause is estimated to be between €130 million, and negotiations are underway between Chelsea and Napoli regarding the payment structure.

It is reported that Osimhen, Serie A’s top scorer last season, is eager to move to the Premiership next season with Chelsea his destination club, making personal terms negotiation a smooth process.

” Victor Osimhen is always a main target for Chelsea to strengthen their attack,” Galetti said on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

“An agreement with the player would not be a problem, as he would like to join Chelsea Football Club.

“As told, the club is willing to meet his release clause, but only negotiating payment terms with Napoli.”

Chelsea has faced challenges scoring this season despite spending so much buying players, highlighting the urgent need for a reliable goal-scorer in their ranks.

Osimhen’s impressive goal record, including helping Napoli secure the Serie A title last season with 31 goals across all competitions, makes him the ideal player to salvage Chelsea’s goal-scoring challenges.

The 25-year-old Super Eagles striker has already notched 13 goals across all competitions this season and his arrival could mark a significant upgrade for Chelsea, providing a reliable long-term solution in the attack.
