Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality infrastructure statewide.
On Wednesday, Governor Oyebanji convened contractors and MDA heads to evaluate ongoing project progress during a strategic session.
Hosted at the Ado-Ekiti Governor’s Office, the meeting facilitated a comprehensive review of current initiatives, as detailed by media adviser Yinka Oyebode.
Contractors pledged timely completion, while the Governor urged leveraging the dry season to accelerate work and fulfill schedules.
He assured prompt payments for milestones and stressed timely delivery to align with 2025 budget priorities for new projects.
Reviewed projects included key road constructions: Ado-Ekiti Ring Road, Ikere-Igbaraodo Road, Ado-Iworoko-Ifaki Road, and Ikole-Ara-Isinbode Road, among others.
Other key developments include the Ado-Ekiti flyover and the International Cultural Centre. Contractors and supervisory agencies provided detailed updates on progress and highlighted challenges encountered.
Governor Oyebanji also announced plans to hold monthly review meetings with contractors and supervisory agencies to ensure adherence to timelines. He encouraged contractors to promptly report any difficulties that could hinder progress.
Chief of Staff Mr. Niyi Adebayo, Finance Commissioner Mr. Akin Oyebode, Works Commissioner Mr. Sola Adebayo, and Budget Commissioner Mr. Femi Ajayi attended the meeting.
Governor Oyebanji emphasized his “shared prosperity” agenda, committing to complete inherited projects while ensuring new initiatives meet rigorous quality benchmarks.
He stated that these initiatives are designed to improve living conditions and drive economic development across Ekiti State.
