A man has taken to social media to call out popular influencer and socialite Papaya Ex over allegations that she has failed to pay his sister, who works as her personal assistant, for three consecutive months.
According to the man, the dispute began after Papaya Ex reportedly lost her iPhone 16 Pro Max at a movie premiere earlier this year. He claimed that following the incident, she stopped paying his sister’s monthly salary of N120,000, despite the fact that the young woman has continued showing up for work.
He further alleged that when he visited Papaya Ex to plead on behalf of his sister, the situation escalated instead of being resolved. According to him, the influencer seized his phone during the encounter, which he said has now affected his work as a mobile videographer who depends on his device for his livelihood.
The allegations have sparked reactions online, particularly as Papaya Ex had previously made headlines after offering a N700,000 reward for the recovery of her lost phone an amount higher than the alleged N360,000 owed to her assistant in unpaid salary.
As of the time of filing this report, Papaya Ex has not publicly responded to the claims.
