Mascot of Kwara United, Bashir Hammed Alabi, popularly known as Arabambi, in Ilorin, city capital of the north central state in Nigeria, appears to have shaken off the painful loss and poor run of his club while on national duty in Abidjan.

He is one of the vociferous supporters of the Super Eagles at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, where Nigerian Supporters Club have joined their continental counterpart to give colour to the biennial soccerfest.

In green and white, the Nigerian colour, the mascot appears to have shaken off the bitterness of defeat, two weeks ago in Ilorin, in the green and yellow, traditional colours of Kwara United.

Arabambi made national soccer headlines after eagle eyed paparazi caught him while in a daze after his club, Kwara United, slumped to 0-2 home defeat to Lobi Stars, another north central state club believed to be in strong contention to win the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The club mascot, too, on the field of play. That too, the camera captured.

But in Abidjan, Arabambi appears to have regained composure and his ever bubbling mien was on full display in Super Eagles match against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoir.
