Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last election, has concluded his America tour which started five days ago.
During the tour, Obi visited three US cities of Houston, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
The former governor of Anambra State interacted with Nigerians in the Diaspora, in keeping with his avowed determination to lead the search for a new Nigeria.
The tour was the last leg of his North America appreciation visits that had earlier taken him to Toronto, Canada, Boston, New York City, West Orange, Cherry, Dallas, Charlotte and Detroit.
Meanwhile, Obi in a statement on Monday, speaking on the conclusion of the tour, encouraged everyone to hold on to the vision of a New Nigeria, a nation where institutions work and where there will be the rule of law.
He also re-echoed about a productive nation where every citizen has an equal opportunity to thrive.
The statement reads, “Yesterday, I concluded my North America Thank You Tour with an Open Forum Nigerian diaspora in Atlanta, Georgia. They were also joined by some Georgia State Legislators.
“During my interaction with them, I encouraged everyone to hold on to the vision of a New Nigeria—a nation where institutions work; there will be the rule of law and a productive nation where every citizen has an equal opportunity to thrive. I envision a Nigeria built on merit, where individuals are lifted from poverty, regardless of their background.
“With the conclusion of this North America tour, I express my heartfelt gratitude to all Nigerian diaspora throughout North America for their contribution to sustaining Nigeria today in one way or another and urge that you do not relent.
“Our collective efforts will bring about a new Nigeria that is POssible”.
