Police authorities in Borno State, have arrested a key suspect in the murder of a housewife at her matrimonial home in Maiduguri.
Also, it said that the husband, Adamu Ibrahim and his friend, Bukar Wadiya who were taken into custody after reporting the incident to the police, had been released.
This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by the spokesman of the command, ASP Sani Kamilu.
He said the principal suspect, Abacha Bukar, was tracked and arrested in connection with the October 18 murder of the 24-year-old housewife, Fatima Alhaji-Bukar.
Mr Kamilu said that the police arrested the suspect after tracking the missing mobile phone of the deceased.
He said five other suspects were also arrested for receiving stolen properties and abating a criminal act.
According to him, the other suspects were Ibrahim Mustapha, Usman Yusuf, Muhammed Yunus, Nuhu Mohammed and Ismaila Mohammed Barka all Gwange area of Maiduguri.
