Joe praised the swift response by the police and particularly commended the Divisional Police Officer of “B” Division, Warri, for taking prompt action.
He called for the temporary closure of the guest house where the murder occurred, pending the outcome of the investigation.
“A human being was murdered within their business premises.
“The place should be shut down until investigations are concluded and necessary safety checks are in place,” Joe said.
He also issued a public warning to young women to always inform family members or friends of their whereabouts.
According to him, a growing number of cases involving missing or murdered women have been linked to unmonitored movements and undisclosed outings.
“It is dangerous and unwise for young women to go out without telling someone.
“Too many have died under similar circumstances,” he added.
The Delta State Police Command has assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and has pledged to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
