A police inspector attached to the OPG Head Office in Ikeja, Lagos State, allegedly committed suicide on Friday, October 18, 2024.
The Inspector, whose name remains undisclosed, was found hanging at his home in the Iteswaju CDA area off Eri Road, Isiwu, in Ikorodu.
NewsBand understand that the Inspector’s son discovered his father’s body and reported the unfortunate incident at the Imota police station.
Though, the circumstances surrounding the officer’s decision to take his own life remain unclear.
This medium further gathered that police detectives led by a DSP visited the residence of the late officer, where they later moved his corpse to a morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, police authorities in Lagos state are yet to issue a statement in respect to the development.
