POWER IS SWEET, BUT WHEN IT SLIPS, EVEN THE MIGHTY LEARN HUMILITY. THE PDP LESSON BEGINS

What the PDP is passing through today is exactly what the APC passed through years ago, only that this time, the movie has new actors, but the same miserable script.

They mocked others when the storm raged, and now they’re drenched in the same political rainfall they once laughed at. The difference? This one doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.

PDP is now experiencing what happens when a house divided tries to stand, leaders pulling in different directions, godfathers whispering from the shadows, and loyalists confused about which “faction” is the real one. It’s like watching a snake bite its own tail and wonder why it’s in pain.

Power is sweet, but the aftertaste of losing it can be bitter, ask APC, they’ll tell you. But while APC’s headache came with Panadol in the form of opposition unity, PDP’s own seems to come with a full-blown migraine and no cure in sight.

This is not politics anymore, this is poetic justice. The same “umbrella” that once covered everyone is now full of holes, and even the rain of confusion is entering freely.
One minute it’s reconciliation, the next minute it’s suspension, expulsion, and drama that would make Nollywood jealous.

So, dear PDP, keep enduring this your national service of suffering, it’s not ending soon. Every shouting match, every internal war, every press release that starts with “We disown…” is part of your therapy. You mocked others for falling apart, now it’s your turn to taste the same chaos you once cheered from the sidelines.

Maybe, just maybe, when this storm finally ends (if it ever does), you’ll understand that power in Nigeria doesn’t belong to a party, it belongs to the people, and the people are watching like an audience in a comedy show.

So, continue the drama, continue the quarrels, and continue telling yourselves that everything is fine, even when the roof is already on fire. The endurance continues.
