Chief Engr Ajulu Uzodike has simply proven why he is a very successful man in all ramifications, by pulling his name out of the petty media publication where he was quoted for saying what he did not say. I gathered he would have taken legal action if the RETRACTION was not made immediately. It simply shows he has a name, dignity, integrity to protect at all cost and for posterity.
Why then did Dr Cletus Ibeto keep quiet when same media used his name to say what is not true, what has never been conceived of nor will ever happen. Its simple, because he runs a gang in Nnewi and the said group is not even a collection of professionals nor people with CONTENT.
One starts wondering why would the person think of it, when his sole aim of being there is to drink champagne, eat food, collect interest free loan and watch out if any position comes out in his village including Chairman of Umunna, he will drag Dr. Cletus Ibeto into it.
In fact, this is the origin of Ibeto joining village politics and imposing community leaders.
He has no respect for the sovereignty of each quarter, he wants to decide who becomes the President General of every quarter, the Chairman of Villages, Umunna, Social club, markets and now he wants to decide who becomes President of CMO, CWO, CGO, CYON, Parish Priest and very soon he could like to be a Bishop maker.
Though there’s a form of government called Aristocracy and Oligargy, but what they share in common is that the few people must be philosophers, not Epicureans or Hedonistic people (ndi ka anyi kporibe ndu, people only interested in pleasure).
Thus, when he called me and was threatening me, they were all present and after he dropped the call, they started clapping for him and singing “Oh hail Omekannia, Oh hail Omekannia, Oh hail Omekannia “. What exactly are you hailing him for, for threatening a news Publisher?
And the most annoying part is that some of them were holding the newspaper in their hands, but none of them have read it. Obviously, calling them sycophants is a big title, they are bunch of JESTERS collected together to decide what happens in Nnewi and massage the ego of a man who ought to be enjoying retirement if not for prevalent circumstances.
Now, a news was published that he was made Chairman of Cathedral over a week ago, and he did not call the media to say its not true. In fact, I doubt if the New Bishop has ever discussed with him privately.
Hon. Patrick Ubajiaka only appointed Ibeto to Chair the installation ceremony just to service his political interest (because Ubajiaka was Chairman, Planning Committee). The truth is that Ubajiaka wants to be a commissioner under Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, but Dr. Cletus Ibeto has nominated Dr. Obinna Ngonadi and one other person I may not like to call his name.
Thus, every privilege you give to Patty Ubajiaka now, he will use it to service the political interest of Dr. Cletus Ibeto, just to get him change his choice of Commissioner; anyway, its politics.
However, the scripture says “a good name is better than expensive perfume”. Dr. Cletus Ibeto, like Chief Engr. Ajulu Uzodike could have called the media in question and direct them to pull down the false information and they would have obliged him immediately.
But since the post was written to undermine Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, whether its true or false, its a welcome development to Dr. Cletus Ibeto who believes at Old age that he is still a dogged fighter; that he is still that Ibeto that fought everybody to stand still; that he is still that Ibeto that coughs and everyone flees for safety; that he is still the last man standing in Nnewi and whenever he speaks, that is the position of everybody.
His greatest quality is that he easily takes sides; if the matter is between Nnewi and other community, he will support another town instead of onye Nnewi, to the extent that in 2013, Dr. Tony Nwoye asked him to bring a deputy from Nnewi, he brought one Dr. Maph from another town though resident in Nnewi and boldly said he can take Nnewi place.
Still within same period, Prof Obi Nwosu, by an Act of God, through the instrumentality of Sir, Emeka Offor and Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was appointed CMD NAUTH, he upturned it and gave it to someone from another town and his only reason is that he do not know who is Prof Obi Nwosu and that he already promised Prof Igwebe the office.
These and many more similar circumstances abounds. However, if its internal, the criteria will be are you in his Ibeto Boys. Do not let the name deceive you, these are family men some of whom have grand children.
Obviously, for the post on his being appointed the Cathedral Construction Committee Chairman to still be hanging out there without his doing anything about it brings his reputation under serious question and he needs a class on reputation and business management from Uzodike.
In fact, the scheme must include how best to grow old. Old age is a beautiful thing and to the African man, it’s linked with sagacity (sage wisdom).
Ibeto must learn to make peace with all men at all cost. He has seen it all, the only thing he has not seen is peace .
“He should pay PEACE a visit, she is a beautiful woman, she is a mother Hen, she listens, she only prays for her children, she doesn’t threaten them, she guides them, she doesn’t rejoice at wrong.
Even when she is sick , she breastfeed her children, even when they are sick she still breastfeed them, even when doctor said they will die she still breastfeed them because she is a good mother.
Dr. Cletus Ibeto needs to meet peace by starting to apologise to those he has wronged and injure their character”.
Every morning I still listen to the call he put across to me promising to crush me and he made it clear that this is the second time I am entering his trap.
Who will stop Ibeto for us? Who will be bold enough to tell him that old age is an opportunity to make peace and make things right? Who will walk up to him and collect his youthful dagger and give him BIBLE?
