2027: Rig All You Want, You’ll Still Lose—Dalung Tells Tinubu
Even If His Son Runs INEC and His Wife Leads Judiciary, Tinubu Will Still Lose

Former Minister of Sports and prominent political commentator, Solomon Dalung, has launched a fiery broadside against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that even under heavily manipulated circumstances, Tinubu stands no chance of winning re-election in 2027.
Dalung made the scathing remarks during an interview on News Central TV Friday night, accusing the Tinubu-led administration of declaring war on the Nigerian people.
“Even if the 36 state governors defect to APC, even if he appoints Seyi Tinubu as INEC chairman, and his wife as Chief Justice of Nigeria, they will be defeated in 2027,” Dalung said.
Dalung, who served under President Muhammadu Buhari, framed the 2027 election as a direct battle between oppressed Nigerians and a detached ruling class.
“The battle line has been drawn. This government has declared war on the people. So Nigerians must get ready,” he warned.
He accused the administration of systematically deepening national suffering and deploying hunger as a tool of suppression.
“The government has weaponized poverty, hunger and hardship,” he said.
Calling for unity ahead of the 2027 election, Dalung urged citizens to rally behind a coalition movement capable of democratically unseating the APC government and reversing the nation’s decline.
“The only option we have now is to align with the coalition movement to reposition ourselves and confront the government in 2027,” he declared.
Dalung’s comments add to a growing wave of criticism from former allies of the APC, as public dissatisfaction with Tinubu’s economic reforms continues to rise.
With inflation, fuel prices, and naira instability dominating public discourse, calls for regime change are gaining traction.
His remarks follow a wave of political realignments, opposition meetings, and mass-mobilization efforts pointing to a turbulent path toward the 2027 general election.
