Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has announced its new executive leadership team, marking a significant milestone for the apex socio-cultural organization representing the Igbo people of Nigeria.

Senator Azubuike Mbata emerged as the newly elected President General, succeeding Nze Ozichukwu, and pledged to work tirelessly to advance the interests of the Igbo nation.

The elections, held at the Old Government Lodge in Enugu, were widely seen as peaceful and transparent, reflecting the organization’s commitment to democratic principles.

The event was attended by prominent figures from across Igboland, including governors from Abia, Anambra, Imo, and Enugu states, demonstrating their strong support for the organization.

The presence of these governors underscored the importance of unity and collaboration among Igbo leaders.

Their participation further solidified the legitimacy and significance of the newly elected leadership.

The Governor of Ebonyi State was unable to attend but sent his Deputy to represent him, highlighting the widespread significance of the elections.

The newly elected executive members include Senator Azubuike Mbata as President General, Okey Nwadinobi as Deputy President General, Engr Emeka Sibeudu as Secretary General, and Dan Okenyi as Deputy Secretary General.

Other members of the executive team are Omeife Omeife Jideofor, Chief John Duru, Dr. Ngozi Oleiime, Dr. Peter Mbam, and Prof. Fred Eze, who will serve as Vice President Generals.

Additionally, Dr. Peter Chidera Aneke will serve as National Treasurer, with Nnanna Nwakwo as Assistant National Treasurer. Charles Kalu Nkata will serve as National Financial Secretary, with Jane Nwanga as Assistant National Financial Secretary.

Dr. Ezechukwu Ezec will serve as National Public Secretary, with Bismarck Orji as Assistant National Publicity Secretary. Barr Okeagu Ogada will serve as National Legal Adviser, with Barr Chizoba Iheka as Assistant National Legal Adviser.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Mbata emphasized the importance of unity, economic empowerment, and political inclusion.

He expressed his gratitude to the Igbo people for their unwavering support and pledged to work tirelessly to advance the interests of the Igbo nation.

The organization looks forward to a productive period under its new leadership, focusing on strengthening Igbo unity, promoting Igbo culture, and advocating for the rights and interests of the Igbo people.

With its new executive leadership team in place, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide is poised to play a more significant role in promoting the welfare and development of the Igbo people.
