Senegalese President Macky Sall appointed member of Burundi Delegation

The Senegalese Head of State, H.E Macky Sall has been appointed a member of the High-Level Delegation to travel to Bujumbura (Burundi). 

This decision follows the Twenty-sixth regular session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the African Union held in Addis Ababa on 30th and 31st January 2016.

Announced by the Chairman of the African Union, HE Mr. Idriss Deby Itno, the high-level delegation includes,  President Sall, on behalf of West Africa, Mauritanian Presidents Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, South African Jacob Zuma, Gabon Ali Bongo Ondimba and Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.

The mandate of the delegation is to consult the government and other actors on the Burundian inclusive dialogue and, if necessary, the deployment of the African Union Mission in Burundi.
